Drawing Near to God
Introduction
God has never been distant from His people. From the Garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem, His desire has always been to dwell among those He created. Through Jesus Christ, the veil has been torn, and every believer has been given bold access into the presence of God. The invitation remains open: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Drawing near to God is not merely about attending church services or setting aside moments for prayer; it is about cultivating a life of continual fellowship with Him. It is choosing His presence daily, surrendering our hearts to His will, and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. As we intentionally pursue Him, we discover His faithfulness, His wisdom, His peace, and His unfailing love.
Today, accept His invitation to come closer. He is ready to receive you with grace, mercy, and open arms.

Prayer
Father, thank You for making a way for me to come boldly into Your presence through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thank You that I do not have to stand at a distance, but that You invite me into fellowship with You According to Your Word in James 4:8, I choose today to draw near to You with a sincere heart. Cleanse my hands and purify my heart. Remove every divided affection, every hidden sin, every distraction, and every weight that hinders my intimacy with You.
Teach me to desire Your presence above every earthly pursuit. Let prayer become my delight and Your Word become my daily bread. Quiet every competing voice so that I may hear Your voice clearly and follow where You lead. As I draw near to You, strengthen my faith, renew my mind, and establish my heart in Your truth. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit and transform me into the likeness of Christ. May my life continually reflect Your love, Your holiness, and Your glory.
Thank You that as I seek You, You are faithful to reveal Yourself to me. Help me to walk closely with You each day, trusting Your guidance and resting in Your unfailing love.
